Congrats. I do play this game too. I have posted some videos in the LTK Mode at the elite.net recently of PD. I'm not as good as the top players but I might as well play for the points. I already have a ton of experience.

At elite level it's Pistols, LTK, from what I hear.
I also do auto aim off / sight off. I try to get groups away from the Farsight since it makes multiplayer kinda pointless. Cloak/Slayer combo is out. I don't know what other people play most often. We choose weapon sets that aren't OP to have fun.
My groups don't really care as much for the other modes.
