Compiled all the notes from the previous question about this device, plus some more details about how the comms operate, compatible ICs, and all the known bugs in its operation. Wasn't able to find this info elsewhere, maybe somebody will need it one day.

Basically, this lists all its valid code types: how they work, how they're bugged, an exploit with the F0 cheat type, the limits on the list and how that's bugged, and how you're expected to communicate with the thing. That's maybe the only part that's not bugged, and in fact lets you execute arbitrary code from an arbitrary address if you so wish.
It's written basically for end users and PC programmers. Left out all the wackier low-level stuff like eeprom address resolution, how the loaders and hooks are set up, the way addressing can be exposed and remapped.
Tempted to get one now. It's one firmware revision away from being really useful. |
