Provided you have 8MB of rdram and nothing to do with it, these patches will upgrade output to triple-buffered 640i deflickered mode. 2D elements aren't affected but you'll absolutely notice the difference in anything 3D.
Really it's an excuse to plug the A3D's overclock mode (or iQue, or a swifter emu that doesn't tear interlacing). More info in the readmes.
Be sure to report any problems!

In the process happened across an unused 320i (that's 320x480) output mode. Additional patches are provided to make that your default when 8MB is used. Not much more than a curiosity.
Another fun tidbit is that PAL scaling is disabled for "hi-color" c32 mode in retail. There's definitely a framing bug at play because they also happen to use a 1.1 scale factor instead of 1.2, meaning 528 lines instead of 576. Pretty hilarious considering Eurocom was a European company.
The mainline patches have scaling disabled in both 8MB modes. If you want to tinker with it enabled, additional patches are in the subdirectory.
Could have cheated and bloated the framebuffers even further to use FPAL mode. It's almost ironic how many games, like Virtual Pool 64, use FPAL but still apply scaling. The whole point is to just render more lines. It's also funny how many games reduce their hi-res mode like how GE does in its intro. Some examples are Top Gear Rally 2 (440), Turok 2's intro (480x360), Super Robot Spirits' intro at 400x300.
(The secret of Turok 3 & Rage Wars' Hz boost: 320 reduced to 284!) |

This looks insanely good on Analogue 3D! If try and play the regular resolution on Analogue 3D, then compare to this...you can never go back to it.
