Okay, maybe I want one of these. A guy was playing a racing game with the atv and motorbikes. Wow, I can't believe how incredible the entire game looked. Background, detail, everything. Nuts! Thing is, it was on a damn nice TV, so I'm wondering how much of this was the TV. From what I saw, it was incredible. I need to see a shooter on it, which will likely sell me on it. Thing is what shooter game is worth buying the ps3 for? No, I'm not backing out of the 360, but now I think the Wii is running third for me. Who else has seen PS3 played live?

I also played the ps3 at EB and the graphics are nice...as for fps, the only one out right now is called Resistance and it's reviewed at around 8.5 out of 10 which is not bad.

Interesting link. I have been thinking on this. There is a lot of EA games there, and most 3rd party stuff. I'm thinking, if you put console specific games, who outdoes who. Most EA stuff is porting and nothing really maximizes the specific consoles strengths. I'm not an expert! Thing is, I'm impressed that the 360 holds strong in that article, but given the ps3 best (like grand turismo can you imagine) versus something like Halo 3, which would be more amazing. I wish I knew more about that game I saw on demo. I'll dig it up and see if it's ps3 only.

I got my first PS3 experience yesterday at my freind's place. One thing I didnt like about it was the FPS as in frames per second. I don't know if there can be a such thing as too smooth, but it just didnt have that feel that I'm comftorble with. But I geuss that's why they are next gen consols. I remember how going from PS1 to PS2 took some getting used to. He's gettin Madden 07 soon, so Ill post how that game is next time I go over there.

A lot of PS3 games have major frame rate issues. I've read it's because developers aren't comfortable with the Cell processor, it will take them several years to fully program games on the PS3 with a steady 30 fps frame rate.

The only reason the PS3 is selling right now is because of its built-in bluray player, if it wasn't for that, it wouldn't be selling as much as it did so far because it's been out for over 2 months now and it only has 1 AAA game...compared to the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 that both have a variety of great games.

I know I'll end up having a ps3, but it will not be anytime soon because I am enjoying my Xbox 360 and Wii that I'm getting in March 07.
