Yay! I had got some of that right. Now, here's the drill:

While I can pull apart the normal point table, sort of understand the collision point table, I cannot figure out the point usage or mapping segments. The result is a cracked model (as shown above). This was what I meant by "Faces" or "Polygon data" - there just seems to be no rhyme or reason behind how the data is arranged. It's also the same issue I get when I try to interperate any model data, be it a standard object or a character model...I'm thinking the polygon arrangement information might be a little too old for my understanding as I'm getting a few quads, trips, and I'd bet a penny that the goldeneye system could do up to eight sided polygons.

Well have a laugh at the above - and believe it or not - the vehicle does still work - although I haven't tried transplanting it over a normal object yet. Any help here greatly appreciated, or if you drop me an E-mail I'll send you through this mess of a *.bin file.

Thanks very much guys!

It's definitely starting to look boat shaped. It'll be really cool if you can get this working.

Wow - quick reply. It's actually the speed boat model, which makes it sort of boat shaped but mostly pear shaped! lol. Ok, enough jokes. I don't know how I'm going to contend with the physical limits or turret locations but am pretty certain a little scaling should do the trick.

Ah, I didn't realize you were using the speedboat model, I thought you just edited the tank model to look like that. It's still really impressive, and I could definitely see myself making an extended Dam mission to take advantage of it.

Maybe you could replace the turret with a seat, so Bond looking around from the boat still makes sense in third person? (Not that you'd ever really see it that way)

It was actually intended for an extended Dam mission. I've tried opening the vent at the bottom of the dam, and adding ladders to the docks - but for the life of me things just never seem to match up with Rare's origional work. However, I have made a functional clipping that covers all of the water area in the dam, as well as the island. While you can walk it - it really needs a boat (and a bungiee pickup - otherwise you plummet to your death! muwhahahaha...ahem...yeah).

Hopefully Zoinkity notices this, he's the expert in the area.

I might drop him a PM - it's been a while since I was last on so sorry about the inactivity. We've just launched a short animated movie intended for competition usage - slows things down from this end.

I got the sodding thing.

It's driveable, just like the tank, causes a small slow down at level load, and can be tricky to get into (basically you gotta go for the middle). After much mucking around, here is the driveable boat!

Now if I could only find out what happened to the windscreen...? These bugs are sent to plague us.

We all know where it's going to go so I'll jump ahead and add: Clipping for the dam is complete but I'll tell ya - wish I had BMW's ability to mod the level BSP!

Holy shite, Mr. Kane! Shocked
That's absolutely wicked! You actually managed to get that deformed looking tank turned into the speedboat. Wow, congratulations. I can't wait to see what you end up doing with Dam. You're bringing to life an idea that even Rare didn't follow through on. Incredible work. Very Happy

Is it possible that the windscreen isn't displaying due to your graphics plugin? I know some textures have issues showing for certain ones, so there's a chance it is emulator related.

By the way, isn't the steering wheel on the opposite side in the normal speedboat? This must be the European model! Razz
