That's the "null" texture that you use on faces you don't want anything to be on. When you compile the map, it removes any and all faces that use the image from the final model. In this case, it's probably a doorway. If your room isn't completely enclosed, it won't output properly. That's another place the null texture comes in handy.
That's a pretty wild looking outdoors. I like it. The overhanging roof is crazy, in a good way. _________________

The more I look at it, the more that looks like a party store front.
Hmmm....maybe it should be, a secret building inside of an old party store. |

Yeah, that overhanging roof is really cool. Nice to see an outdoor environment, I've always been terrible with them so don't expect to see any in my maps. |

You are talking about hammer editor I suppose?
I just haven't used it yet. All I did so far was with sketchup and other general purpose cad programs. |

Though still subject to texture modification, I think my outdoor area is complete.

Speaking of which, would it be too much trouble to PM about how to import .skp (sketchup) models into the GE Editor? I just downloaded Google Sketchup (Free) and i have no idea on how to import models to the editor...
Thanks |

I haven't worked on this since last update. In fact thats been long enough ago I might have fun tracking down all the source files, I'm not good at keeping track of where I store things, considering I have a bazillion unfinished projects going all at once.
It is one I do intend to finish, I just have no idea when. |

Thanks | last i remember, he said sketchup was basically useless for importing into GE. 3ds is the way to go if you're trying to get models into the editor, or if not blender and milkshape 3d. |

Just wondering if there is anything new to update us on, BMW? It's been about two months since the last post, so I wasn't sure if this had either been cancelled or put onto the backburner. I know you have some other projects on the go, which would explain why this one is still sitting. Let us know where you're at with it and if you expect to return to this at a later date. _________________

This is one that can be un-stickied for the time being, its towards the bottom of my priority list. Heck, I don't even know where all my files for ths project are at. Thank god I keep my living quarters more organized than my hard drive. |
