A user sent me a PM, so I'm here to check it.

I see that you all have been posting in this thread, so I'm here to tell you I'll be posting the Castle.rmf, as well as all of my unfinished maps, in a thread (soon) for any user(s) who would like to finish the projects and release them as a flopperr999 & ______ project.

EDIT: I am very angry. I deleted the files into my recycle bin, but I was going to take them out to post up today for other users, but now I can see they are not there, and they have been deleted. Unfortunately, my work is gone forever. Skorpion has 10 or so rmf's, and rel has Castle. I suggest contacting Skorpion if any users are interested in them. I do not have ANY files Sad

Well with that said, let me announce what my plan of action was for Castle. Hopefully, rel, you still have the zip, and can post a link to it asap before it gets lost FOREVER. My plan was to have two maps, in fact. One, being the castle during the day, and the other being the castle at night. Day would have grey fog or something, with no texture shading. The other, would be at night, with texture shading, and with purple(ish?) fog. The guards would be subject to major modifications. I had original plans to substitute ALL of the guard textures for knights' armor textures, to have knights as guards. They would be armed with Hunting Knives (swords). I had no idea for specific missions, though.

TO REL:

Given you still have this, there was going to be a modification for the Nighttime model. The drawbridge outside would be open and down, and there would be access to the moat. In the wall next to the moat, there is a small hole. In the nighttime model, there would be a back room, that would connect to the ventilation shaft (filled with water during the day) behind the hallway in the "Throne Room" (this would be a secret entrance to the castle). If you do not have that zip, then unfortunately everyone can forget about this Sad

Sounds like you had some great plans for this Castle map, Flopperr. It's unfortunate that you've decided to end your work on it, and even more so that the original files are no longer on your computer. Hopefully, r.e.l 237 will take up the task and complete it with your ideas intact. If you ever feel like coming back to the boards at any time in the future, you're welcome to. Smile

By the way, I don't think computer controlled characters are capable of using knives of either kind. Unless there is a way to change that, which would need to be a ROM hack. Zoinkity would know best.
