Anybody else ever have this problem?
I can't see any of the images - its all just black. Any idea what is wrong here?
Even when I change rom to a valid byte-flipped .v64, same problem happens. I can still click in the black space and get info for any given image (address and preset), I just can't see the image. |

This is a problem that has plagued me on 2 different computers, both with 2 different versions of DirectX. I had wanted to use this to more quickly locate image presets for use with hammer maps. |

It happens if your ROM is bad. It tries to load every image based on it's "CRC", that I precalculate and hardcode (that's how I let you replace or add a couple earlier, but would still find GE ones). If you moved things around, I believe all CRCs will fail and it can't load any. Try loading another clean ROM and it should be fine. |

Remember how nearly all of your IPS patches end up causing the new ROMs to be read as Bad Dumps? Perhaps whatever ROM it is that you're using as a base is flawed. Though this could also be caused by the way you handle the ROM during editing. It might be a good idea to download a clean one, just in case. _________________

Tried another clean rom from a different source and same problem. Black screen.
But like I said, I can click anywhere in that black screen and choose an image (even though I can't see it) and still see its address and preset. |

I'm fairly sure it's the ROM, since all the image data is precoded. Maybe try byteflipping the ROM. |

Once I byteflip the rom the image tools tells me its not 1172/1173 compressed and then crashes. The original rom doesn't crash it, but it is not byteflipped. |

I'm sure it's the ROM, just not sure why it's happening. Try another site. |

I tried the new rom - still black.
This must be something related to either the operating system or directx or something along those lines. |

Hmm, weird. You set that new ROM as your quick ROM? Maybe you run out of texture memory or something, but seems doubtful. |
