I just wanted to say that over the past year, we have seen lots of great things happen in the world of GoldenEye hacking, including...

*The increase of custom Hammer maps
*Great level ports from other games (Including Perfect Dark and Counter Strike)
*PD object ports
*Working boat on the Dam level
*Action block findings
*The "All Bonds" patch

The list goes on!

I really like how our community works with each other. As the months go by it's always nice to see someone raising the bar, making what would have been a dream years ago into reality. 2009 truly is a great year for us!

Give yourselves a pat on the back! Very Happy

I completely agree! Smile

This year kind of slowly but surely took us by storm. We got a lot of superbly talented new faces, some resurgences of old faces, and it's just worked out spectacularly. We've gotten far more advanced, seen a lot more new levels, and I couldn't be happier! I think the Goldfinger work is the epitome of how far we've come, and the counterstrike, new hammer maps, etc, just are spectacular.

I also look forward to much much more.

Watching youtube videos tonight of the new levels, I just need to step back, I mean it's unbelievable the progress we've made and the tools we've got at our disposal. It was a lot of work, but it's just so worth it when I see all the levels out there.

I remember years ago, coming home from dinner, long, long before the visual editor, and just dreaming of the ability to make objectives via clicking or something simple like that. And imagining how great it would be. Oh how far we've come.

One of these days I need to find time to give every one of these levels the just playthrough it deserves. And find some people to play them multi. But yeah, wow. Thanks for the post Kode-Z.

I have a bunch of awesome half-finished projects that I really need to get done someday. Mainly Runway expansion, cabin fever, training mission, and mp backzone pack. Not sure why I always seem to lose interest halfway through each and every project I start.

Subdrag - if you had not pushed me along on the library mission that may have never been finished either.

When I was younger I'd dream of creating my own games. Since my programming knowledge is rather limited, I've always relied on tools created by other people. Let's just say that the tools for Goldeneye are incredible, that I can use them is a testimony to that. I love how you picked apart a game, shared your discoveries and then evolved the concepts of the game itself. That's the core of gaming, to me. To explore and to invent, and to give old worlds new perspectives.
Here's to you, and to 2009.

I also dream on making other games and since I am quite skilled with programming. Plus I find programming a heck of a lot of fun and so is the Setup Editor. The programming that went into it must be quite intense on SubDrag's part but if he had not done it we would be nowhere he is the guy to thank for all of this, really plus Wreck and zoinkity.

Now there are no limits just think what the future might hold.
Imported Music into Goldeneye? Guards Driving Jeeps or Tanks? Helicopter Guards in Helicopters coming after you while you escape in a Jeep? There's no END to the Possibilities.

Who knows what is in store for 2010!!! Cool

The one thing that's taken me by storm over the last year has been just how much things have unfolded - from the first tinkerings with map modification all the way through to fully blown maps with secondaries, onto texture mapping for water. It's getting to the point where the enigma is becoming understandable.

I love Goldeneye - much the same as I love Duke Nukem (and for the record guys, ATM I'm trying not to cry [www.3drealms.com for the news]). We're taking Goldeneye into places not even Rare expected it COULD go, it's getting to the point when even a stortid old developer like me gets suprized every time I log on and see what's been changed.

ya i remember downloading the editor years back when it had no 3d interface. I tinkerd with it for a bit, but without being able to make my own maps from scratch, my intrests went elsewhere. But a couple weeks ago i dug up some of the old consoles and started playin some games. While playin some bond i thought "hmm, i wonder if any changes have been made to the editor". so i looked it up and to my suprise the editor has changed drasticaly. And has definatly caught my intrest.

Great work to all who have contributed to this project
