I'm building a really big hammer map at full force. Its spring break right now, so I can really get at this project i've been thinking about. That is all

They aren't going to all be individual buildings, I have 1 or 2 large buildings planned with many rooms, and then a very large open courtyard. |

my spring break just ended, so my production is getting slowed quite a bit.

Looks quite intriguing, Flopperr.
Is this going to be more geared towards multiplayer, or is this a setting that'll work for a mission, as well? I'm sure either (or both) will be a lot of fun, especially considering how nicely your Township map turned out. Do keep us updated. _________________

This one will be multiplayer as well, however I suppose I could devise some kind of mission after multi release, however I have nothing for solo planned.
BTW the building looks horrible because of the null texture....it'll look way better once I texture it...for convenience I just texture maps last...it's just easier for me |

What about "The Last Bastion"?
It could mean either: the final stronghold, or the only hope.
I like the arches in the new pic. They aren't overly complex, so you won't need to worry about them eating up too much memory. The ones featured in your castle map would've been killers. _________________

Yes, you're absolutely right. I realized that during compiling of Castle, don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. I made sure to make the arches considerably less detailed for the sake of memory conservation.I think in Castle, the arches consisted of like.....32 faces lol |

I have about 60% of it built, and i'd like to be able to see the map textured, to keep building from there, but I really can't find any textures that look spectacular right now. I'm aiming for a dark-brown castle-like feel. Any texture suggestions would be immensely appreciated.  |

I've been playing Hexen a bit since I bought it off Steam a few weeks ago, and that game has some great castle textures. They'll need to be either resized or cut into several smaller textures, since they're mostly all 64x128 or 128x128. |

Would it be too much trouble if you could zip them up and rapidshare to me? I can't find a legit Hexen texture pack anywhere.
EDIT....nevermind....found one lol

If Hexen does have some rather nice textures, perhaps we could have a .wad created for it and uploaded somewhere for GE mappers to retrieve? The more textures we have to work with, the greater our variety of themes will be. _________________

these structures remind me of the first and second turok games, but they probably won't be much like them after texturing, thoug. |

you are really good at modeling and making architecture in hammer lol
i still have the medieval castle setup files, just need to finish clipping to be able to release it if you want |
