 |
|
Hey fellas, I currently started replicating every GE multi map in the Minecraft environment. I have built some in the past before but only now am I announcing that I will make all of them on 1 world! I have been working on complex the past few days and feel like showing my progress to you guys!
Its 99% Completed
...all walls are made entirely of stone (aside from the colored rooms)
Made to be as identical as possible to the GE layouts, yet still fitting Minecraft's limits
Temple is next on my to-do list! I'll keep posting progress as more maps are built, for those that are interested. Have a nice day everyone! _________________ Twitch

Nice work, TH. I'm looking forward to seeing the other maps.
Just do me one small favour...
Please don't plaster torches everywhere.
(some maps are exceptions, like Temple and Caves) _________________

Im no big fan of minecraft but that really looks great to play in.
But yea i agree with Wreck. You need to not add any torches to this place.
Atleast makes some small opening to keep it from being to dark. _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

Temple 99% Complete - Pics below!
Next map I felt like re-creating is Temple
Darker rooms needed light, 1.8 treats the blocks of dark areas really weird
Looking up the main temple room
The main temple room (you can see the odd dark area blocks)
I think I'll be doing Stack next, wanna get the big ones out of the way _________________ Twitch

Looking quite good, TH.
I like the use of lighting in different areas.
Just curious... it appears as though there is an extra doorway in the large room with the open ceiling. Unless I'm just seeing it wrong. Did you add something there? _________________

That is the entrance to the map. I will eventually have a house that leads to each map, since most maps are closed there needs to be a realistic place to put an entrance. Is that what you are talking about? _________________ Twitch

That would be the doorway, yeah.
It is a bit odd when maps don't have a proper 'entrance' or 'exit' to them. Not such a big deal for the multiplayer arenas, but strange for mission levels. Then again, the lack of bathrooms is also quite disturbing. _________________
