This was a recent request, but also has been a frequent enough question in the past. Most of the game models are made as "props", but one of the exceptions is the Rareware Logo. It is actually stored inside the ROM, and contains four images (not from the image bank). This is the information I have on it, which may have been passed from Zoinkity, to SubDrag, and then to me. I think I added the sizes and details, but the addresses were from other sources.
29E578 (0xAC0 sized) = Image - 16bit [start of Rare logo model]
29F038 (0xAC0 sized) = Image - 16bit
29FAF8 (0xAC0 sized) = Image - 16bit
2A05B8 (0xAC0 sized) = Image - 16bit
2A1078 (0x18D0 sized) = Vertices
2A2948 (0xC8 sized) = Display List [blue part of logo]
2A2A10 (0x2A8 sized) = Display List [Rare script below the R]
2A2CB8 (0x888 sized) = Display List [gold part of logo]
For the mirror mode mod, I just swapped around the vertices and triangle order. I think SubDrag also had found a way to invert the scale on some of the intro logos, which made them not only appear mirrored, but also spin in the opposite direction. Hopefully the above info will help future mods to use new models in its place. |
