 |

Hi, I´m brazilian and use this wonderfull romhacking tool for my personal project, I´m work on full translation 007 for portuguese brazilian...
But, I have some problem, my language use some special latin characteres (like ç á é à ú and others), in manual of programa say:
Code: |
Japanese and European Text Characters
Currently, the editor provides no direct means to edit and replace japanese text. The japanese language table does not properly translate into the editor. You may, however, upload any latin text created to a japanese cartridge.
Only ASCII characters 20-126 are usable. The original english-language releases of the game did not include the extended european character set. This includes special characters such as thorns and letters with cedilla, grave, acute, and circumflex accents. The editor will allow them to be entered, but attempting to use these characters will cause the game to fail. |
have any chance for make this modifications editing image of table characters (using like Tile Molester) and modding GE editor incert new table characters?
thanks every for this wonderfull job

Unfortunately you're stuck with the Tools -> 21990, Font tab. You can probably replace the following symbols : { } | ^ @ # $ so I think you can do it with the English version! Then when you make the text bank, just be sure to use the { when you mean ç, for example. I'd be interested in seeing your final IPS patch and ROM, so please let us know how you're doing. |

Yes ! It's working !
I changed the "&" into "é", and the "$" into "à ".
That's the most characters used with accents in french.
I won't do the others characters, they are not used so much...
One level finished : Archives
Next one : Control |

Just be sure that you don't accidentally overwrite a character that is actually used somewhere in the game. Though I don't believe that the "&" symbol is ever called upon, it may be a good idea to check. Also, the asterisk "*" is used as a way to skip to the next line or end certain text entries, so don't both switching it out for a new character. Make sure you know what you're replacing before any problems occur. _________________

I tried first to use the "@" to make the "à ". But for i don't know some reasons, the "à " was all disformed, just as it wanted to follow the circle of the "@". it tried twice, then changed with a "é", but the result was the same...
Looks like this "@" cannot be used.
But it doesn't matter, there are others characters, and it's working with them |

I respected the with required, in the case of the "@", it was width:13 and height:14 .
I tried to change the fonts of the "$", "&", "@", and "#".
Only the "@" cannot be changed, the others can be changed successfully.
In a sense, you cannot change those following symbols : { } | ^
because, the width is too thin, the character would be too stripped... |
