I realize it can't be easy to acomplish, but I was thinking about something, and would like to present the idea to see, as far as current knowledge reaches, if it could be possible.
It annoys me that in GE/PD to launch a grenade, which could come in handy in the middle of a shootout, you are limited to selecting them as an indepentend weapon, which use excludes simultaneous use of anything else and that pretty much defeats their tactic usefulness.
What I thought of is if a hack could be made so you could assign grenades and, maybe mines (but foremost, grenades) to "unused" buttons of a given control scheme so you could launch one without needing to cycle weapons.
I use the default one and am right handed so that leaves L and the four directions of the directional pad.
Perhaps the trick could be done trough a hack of the double weapons feature, changing one of them for a grenade launching hand (permanently or switching it with another hacked button) that is triggered only by the assigned button.
It would be so nice if this could be done, but of course, until further notice, this is just me dreaming out loud in hopes someone else as crazy as me -and more knowledgeable- comes and makes it real.

That double weapons idea is good, but I think hard, 'cause only thing it should do is to affect mines/grenades only... |
