My first hammer map.
The premise:
There is a criminal operations base posing as a business firm to conceal their actions. Bond must infiltrate the firm, download information from their their database, collect business documents, locate an object i haven't decided on yet, and prevent any office worker casualties. (as some actually think they're working for a real company)

I do have a few questions, however:
1.How would i go about installing secondary details, such as lights and vents, into the level?
2.Is there any way to change the weapon models/the bullets they shoot? (EX: watch lazer to 9mm)

Wow, that looks like a pretty large and complex map you've got there. Nice to see you have a good plan for a mission, as well. It's always fun getting to play another mission in GoldenEye.
Anyways, about your questions...
I'll be writing a tutorial on how to utilize secondary textures very shortly. I want to make sure I test a few other things first, then write it out as detailed as possible, keeping it easy for readers to follow.
Lights are actually primary textures in nearly every case. I didn't realize this myself until not too long ago. If you want to shoot them out, secondary will not do. Your ammunition will pass through all secondaries, which probably isn't what you want. So, you can put your lights up around the map without having to worry about making them secondary.
Any vent covers or railings will need to be secondary, though. You can put them in place, but you'll have to know what to do with them when attempting to compile.
As for altering weapons, you may need to be more specific with what it is you want to do. If you don't want to mention it in the thread (possibly spoiling your idea), you can always PM me. _________________

He wants to change the type of ammo a gun uses, like having a shotgun use rifle bullets instead of cartridges. |

He also mentioned changing the weapon models, not just the ammunition they use. In order for me to offer my advice, I'll need to know - in better detail - what it is he'd like to do. But I also don't want him to spoil it for others, if this customized weapon is meant to be a surprise. _________________

You can use action blocks to change spawned weapons models and ammo _________________ Also known as Spyster or Nyxem

Yeah, but he was referring to the actual weapon itself, the one even you can use during missions or multiplayer. _________________

But you'll only acquire the weapon that the "pickup" ID offers out. Although the gun may look like a DD44 and shoot AR33 bullets, you'll only get a normal AR33 Assault Rifle. You'd need to modify the actual weapon itself, not just the image and pickup assigned to the model in the setup file. _________________

I was actually thinking of turning this into a MP level before i start on my next map, since it would be silly to waste the geometry. Would anyone like to see this in Multiplayer? (i would make some optimizations, of course, I'm open to any suggestions you have for these) |

Remeber at Egyptian. Baron Samedi have a double DD44 Dostovei , but he shoot laser "bullets" _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
