i think your right. well the rotational pictures are really blury, that means using smaller textures and as you said are mapped ontop a cylinder type 3d surface. But the static ones are much more detailed and dont need to move at all. Im not sure of the drawing calls on the 64 but it would make sence to have some sort of 2d drawing method. like direct draw//d3d. but still i doubt there would be any way to achieve this with the current state of the GE engine. Seems like a lot of modification would need to be done. Or mabey not, i dont know |

even if it could be done, it appears to be quite slow, at least in hardware, emus are another world... |
