Hi I have a few difficult questions that have been unanswered that I would really like to know the answers to. Thanks in advance.
Can someone search RadioShack and help me find the correct cable I need for my gameshark to hook up to my computer. I do not believe this new computer I have has the 25 pin, so I may need to use a usb type cable? I cannot understand which type I need, as I have read I need an extension parallel port, and am thus baffled.
Once I place some of the GameShark new Goldneye maps into my GameShark am I capable of playing the new level and then going on to play other levels with it appearing to be like before? I understand this is true if you follow the guidelines for Citadel file, however I am unsure of maps like Archives BackZone, Surface, and Dam FrontZone. (To further clarify, I wanted to be able to play a new Goldneye map, finish it, then choose another map to play so I don't have to turn on the gameshark again after each level played.)
Could someone please explain how to replace levels of your preference, if the above paragraph is possible, in detail? There are three levels I find really dull and which I wanted to replace with my own new preferences.
A lot of those old code lists for the gameshark had "4 p versions" that were different from the non 4 player versions. Are the "4 p versions" capable of being played with 2 and 3 players?
What areas of the 4 player surface, 4 player jungle, and 4 player Streets are present in that version?
Where in the world can I find a good guide to modding Goldeneye guns?
How would I modify the sky block in an attempt to make Caves and Jungle visibillity better to brighten the multiplayer levels?
Post Scriptum:
Does anyone have any ambition, interest, or possibility of being persuaded to create 4 player versions of Dam FZ, Dam BZ, Surface 1, Archives BZ, Streets, Depot, Train, Jungle, Control, and Aztec Bay?
Does anyone have any ambition, interest, or possibility of making new gameshark codes for:
1)The first four block square of Streets with the two buildings that you can enter and the courtyard at the very beginning of the level?
2)The L-Shaped large room of Control at the very end with a few of the connector rooms including the one with the magnificent sniping potential balcony? You could even go into the brown dirt rooms with the ramp and even further.
3)The area of Aztec Bay with the moat near the beginning that looks similar to the Perfect Dark multiplayer level.
4)Modifications of the already available Facillity and Complex levels to add additional objects from tanks to objects to new terrain?
I would be willing to do extensive testing for the console, by hand if I had to, for anyone interested in tackling any of the above.
Would anyone be willing to do the following or tell me where to find information on doing so?
Change amount of hand grenades, proximity mines, timed mines, and grenade launcher bullets you can carry at one time to two total.
Change Klobb to deal 50% damage from old 30% damage. |

Ive not had a gamshark so ill have some stabs in the dark
1) You need a 25 pin parallel port. USB are for printers.
2) Activate a lot of codes?
4) Most likely, 4p versions mean that they can be played up to 4 players

Thank you all.
I don't have the 25 pin part on my computer tower so that is why I believe I can use the USB 25 pin version. Am I right?
If that is not possible I have a lap top that might possibly work. |

Please don't start multiple topics for the same thing, specially when you were given the desired answer on the first one.

As we told you there, no, they won't work. Asking the same question over and over won't change that fact. It would be really cool if they worked with the AR/GS (and other nice old devices, such as backup units), but they won't.
These adapters are a specialized USB device created exclusively for printers, not a general purpose USB to parallel adapter, which would be, very complex, expensive and full of incompatibilities due to the very different nature of USB and legacy parallel ports.
If you still don't believe me, buy one and see it with your own eyes, but I assure you that it would be a waste of money. |
