I used a "[multi]" tag because i don't intend to create a solo mission for it at any point.
Overview:
This map was originally intended to replace caves, but it ended up having many features of complex and i decided that it would be best situated in that slot.
A fairly simple map that i plan to add another area to (not completely sure, though). Started around a month ago and probably got in around 10 30-60 minute sessions working on it at school.
This isn't nearly as complex as enigma systems (which is still being worked on, don't worry). So the XSI procedure won't take nearly as long, and i could conceivably have this done by the end of the November break...but i'll probably be making minor changes for awhile before progressing to that.
2000 polys in crafty as opposed to enigmas 5000

You'll have to wait for this one
Checklist:
Get hex editor
Get some surveys completed
Planned Ideas:
Import it into Goldeneye
Survey V2: (answer all that you wish)
Code: | 1. What feel does the map give you?
2. Do you like the texturing scheme?
3. What is your favorite area of the map?
4. What is your least favorite area of the map?
5. What weapon set do you think would play out best on this map? (feel free to list custom weapon sets)

As always, critical opinions are valued. I'd appreciate a statement that identifies something legitimately wrong with the level than one that just praises it generally. Of course, if you're especially optimistic, a cursory overview of the things you like would be acceptable too.
GIVE ME CRITIQUES DANGIT!!!

It's looking quite interesting, E-Sol. Though it's probably only because I've never played it, but judging by the YouTube video, it seems as though it might be a little easy to get lost. Perhaps you could add colour to certain areas, much like the original Complex. It'll instantly give the players a sense of where they are, and also give some flare to the otherwise greyscale imagery. _________________

One month later and i finally update the map topic.
Main issue was that i lost access to my photobucket account (cleared password cache, mindless of the fact i don't remember most of my passwords) and had to make a new one >_>'
Anyway, the level possesses a much higher level of detail and a lot less vents.
I've updated the media section with a few screenshots and a flythrough of the level in crafty, also made V2 of the survey, but i don't think it will get too much attention(at least not until the level is actually playable) Enjoy. |

wow, this is so cool.
1.
It seems like a map that could be very interesting to play, and easy to get lost, unless you add lighting.
2.
yes, much like complex
3.
the whole thing
4.
none.
5.
all rockets
If you add lighting in some of the vents, blue, greem, and red preferably, then it would be easier to navigate, plus, it would look good.
I think this map will turn out great. |
