Sheesh, all of these suggestions and concepts thrown at me at once!

There won't be any doors in the Caves mission, simply because they aren't neccessary. The way the architecture of the stage is setup doesn't really allow for any. I'm sure I could stick one in somewhere, but would it make sense as to why it is there? This is an abandoned silver mine, so there probably wouldn't be any in the first place. Crates and other complicated thingamabobs are in progress. Smile

Creating an entirely new character would take a lot of work. Either I'd have to custom fit a set of textures to an already made character model, or design one from scratch. I'm no 3D modeller, though I would absolutely love to learn how to do it. Maybe one day, we'll see.

A tank boss?!
That reminds me of Vulcan Raven in Metal Gear Solid. Very Happy

Well, I hate to rule anything out.
You'd have to reconfigure the programming of a tank to work like that of a drone gun. Instead of firing bullets, it'd launch rockets. The base of the tank would act as the stand, while the turret would spin around. It's doubtful that the thing would drive around after you, but only stay in one place. This is if it's even possible. I'm just crapping out smart sounding ideas. Razz

Took a bit of a break from it to do real work. Between making masks and writing a new story for an upcoming film, I've been a little strapped for time. Don't worry, I'll be back on it very soon. It shouldn't take long to position the props. As long as I've got them in, I can rotate them later on. The drone guns will probably be the last things put in, as because they can be a distraction when testing things. Nothing crummier than checking on a box and having it blown to bits by a tripod with a machine gun. Confused

That is the dream, PTB.
Completely new stages, objects, characters and weapons. This is a definite possibility. We just need to find the right people who are willing to spend some time figuring it out. Zoinkity has tried porting stage data between GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. He sent me a patch for PD that put a small area from the Bunker inside of the Complex. I think the main problems are getting the textures to register correctly and reconfiguring the clipping. You may very well see a complete GE to PD conversion one day. I'm sure we'd all love to play against simulants in an arena like the Archives. Smile

I've been going over the Library in my head these past few days, trying to piece together what objectives should be involved. The mission will be based in St. Petersburg, which means that the St. Petersburg Guard will most definitely be there. Each one of them is going to be a bit tougher than the regular infantry. One will also be a key holder, so eliminating him is a must in order for you to accomplish your goals. What are those goals, you ask? Here's what I've been thinking...

Neutralize All Surveillance Equipment
Destroy Illegal Arms Cache
Upload Q-Virus to Network Computers
Locate System Data Backup
Minimize Scientist Casualties

You'll begin the mission in the basement area of the stage. Your starting inventory consists of: a PP7 (silenced), the Safecracker and the Q-Virus diskette. Here you'll have two main objectives: a) Destroy the illegal arms cache, and b) Obtain the key to the upper level. Up stairs, you'll need to take out the remaining surveillance cameras. When you come across a computer station, free the scientists and upload the Q-Virus. You'll have to do this to each one, since the computers are not networked together directly, but to an outside connection. Some of these stations are in secured areas, so search out for important keys. When all of them have been infected, the entire system will shut down. Once that's out of the way, you'll have to locate their backup data. Without it, they won't be able to resume their operations anytime soon. It's hidden away inside of a high grade safe and requires the Safecracker. After completing all of your objectives, head back into the basement where you began the mission. An ending cinematic will kick in at your destination.

Good Idea Wreck. As you know I have made my own version but it is time to tweak the level. But I think I will leave it the way it is. I will ask Sedfire. We will probally have a mission description and stuff I will post it up later.

Actually, I think GE Master did it at about the same time I was made a moderator. I wouldn't have made this a sticky personally, but I guess it's nice to have it up for people to see. There may not be too many updates made to the Caves mission for a while. But in the meantime, you can check out Techno PP7 and the Stack Mission Team's progress on their Library mission. Smile
