So I have been at this for a while, but I have finally made a Gun Game for goldeneye, using the gameshark codes!
For those of you that don't know what GunGame is, it originally was a Counter-Strike mod. In most mods, everyone starts with the most powerful weapon. Once you get a kill with that weapon, you get upgraded to the next weapon. You keep getting kills and upgrading through all the weapons until you get to the weaker weapons, then finally the grenade, and then the last one is knife. The first person to get a kill with every weapon wins! There is also reverse gungame which goes from weakest to most powerful, etc.
To play GunGame in Goldeneye N64, everyone will start with all guns. When you get a kill with the gun, you may then manually switch to the next one. When you are killed, you will respawn back at the first level gun, but to quickly switch back to the gun you are on, check the number of kills you have (or the Next Level number when you last got a kill) and press weapon switch that many times, and it will quickly put you back on the level you were on. So you'll have to work on an honor system.
To work: Enable this code, then go to the in-game cheat options and enable ALL GUNS and INFINITE AMMO. Also select Unlimited for the duration of the game. I also play with Dr. No Armor, unless you want the game to take an hour or more.

I've played Gun-game in Counter-Strike thousands of times. Let's test this out... _________________

I've never heard of that style of match before, but it certainly sounds like it'd make for an interesting round. There's an awful lot of weapons in GoldenEye, though. It'd probably take quite a while to get through the entire list.
Some of the codes may be incorrect, which is why certain players aren't receiving every weapon. If I have some extra time, I'll try giving it a look. Been a while since I've done GS related stuff, especially for GE. _________________

That would be awesome, Wreck. I'd love to be able to play Complex Gungame. I had been studying the different codes and trying to see if I could find the modifiers, but I couldn't figure it out. Thanks a bunch! |

Hahaha so I forgot that someone else have given me a code that worked - All you have to do is go into the in-game cheat options and enable all guns and infinite ammo. It was 8003F83B 0006.
So here is the FINISHED GunGame cheat. This is all you need, no more selected the different levels, it works for all levels!
"GunGame"

812AEAE2 6E47
812AEAE4 616D
812AEAE6 6500
812AD6F8 4775
812AD6FA 6E47
812AD6FC 616D
812AD6FE 6500
812ACEDC 4E65
812ACEDE 7874
812ACEE0 204C
812ACEE2 6576
812ACEE4 656C
8002B14B 0004
8002B163 0004
8002B17B 0004
8002B193 0004
To play GunGame, Enable this code, then go to the in-game cheat options and enable ALL GUNS and INFINITE AMMO. Also select Unlimited for the duration of the game. |

Ah, good to see you've got it working for every level now.
And the code is even shorter. _________________

Not my bag, but I'll try to make this a scenario in NSNA. You know, when I finally get around to working on it... _________________ (\_/) Beware

Damn. I Flash drived PJ64 over to my new computer, then deleted it from the other one, but I forgot that I left a file, but now the Project 64 website's downloads dont work because it asks you to take a spam quiz now. -___-. _________________

I looked into scripting the gungame into a level, but the action editor doesn't take note of two crucial things:
Number of player deaths
Differences between players (everyone is the same in the eyes of the action blocks).
Might have to rely on Zoinkity for that one I'm afraid. _________________ No Mr. Bond, I expect you to be re-coded! |

Well yes, but my friends and I played it just fine with a honor system, I can see his screen so I'd know if he skipped a weapon without getting a kill with it.
But did you mean player score instead of player deaths? Cause it's not the deatchs that counts in Gungame it's the total kills. In Goldeneye your score should be, without suicides, 32 (1 kill with each weapon). The only issue with the gungame is:
Players accidentally pushing weapon switch during a game. (You have to cycle all the way through your weapons again to get back)
And waiting for players to cycle back to their weapon they were on after getting killed (But if you push the weapon switch fast enough for the number of kills you have, you should go right to that weapon)
And the remote mine level kill (You have to switch to watch detonator unless you quick detonate, but once you switch to watch you have to cycle all through them again)
The only other minor annoyance is the Proximity mine level kills. You can fill the map with proxy mines and then get the one kill needed, but then there's still proximity mines everywhere. This is a simple fix by either skipping that level or allowing only like 3 proximity mines at a time.
What's really fun, though, is the timed mine and grenade levels. Challenging!
I also put on Dr. No armor when I play gungame. That way it's a bit more fair and it doesn't take hours to play a gungame. |
