Looks right:
[70C525880240C1E838B8B1BE35666C3B]
Good Name=Goldeneye.rom
Header Code=DCBC50D1-09FD1AA3-C45
Now just use trim flip tools to make sure unflipped.
You CANNOT use the zip, it must be uncompressed/extracted. |

Well that seemed to solve the problem! I just tested it out now too and the patch already had the level without me unlocking it!
I'm not sure what you mean. The correctly patched rom? How do you want me to link it to you?
By the way, this is the md5 checksum of my original GE007 rom that I tried patching it with in the beginning.

OK good - apparently you had a bad ROM somehow. That's why the errors there Although perhaps I should say something like "you may have a corrupted ROM, and make sure it is extracted" |

Ah I see. So you're saying I should have only one Goldeneye rom and it should be unzipped. Well I just saw inside the folder where I have my Goldeneye rom and I have two Goldeneye 007 roms. One extracted and one not. I guess it does not help any matters having two of them.
Also is it recommend I should have all my GE and PD roms be extracted as well if i have others? |

Yes the editor only works on unzipped ROMs. |

There's no good reason not to when the emulators support loading compressed ROMs. I keep an unzipped copy of GE and PD around for patching and use with the editor, but other than that everything is zipped. |

Given the huge size of hard drives nowadays vs. the comparatively negligable size of N64 ROMs, there's no real need for archiving N64 ROMs on a PC, true, but it's also true that since N64 emulators support ZIPped ROMs, then there's no real reason not to acrhive them up. I think for most of us it's just habit, dating back years to when hard drive space was much smaller and much more expensive, and back then we had to archive them up if we wanted a lot of ROMs on the PC. |
