1. You have to click the "tools" tab in the setup editor and select the "21990 Modifications" button.
2. Once that opens up, select your ROM you want to change the music to at the top of the window, and navigate to the "Model Details" tab.
3. Once there, right below the "Music Entry" title, select the GE track you want to replace with your custom music.
4. Look near the middle of the window and you'll see "Import From Midi No Repeats"; select the check box right by that ("Loop Midi Import") and click the button.
5. Select your custom GE midi track you want to put into the game, and click "Open".
6. Once you've done that, click the button "Export To GE Format" (It will be near the "Import Midi No Repeats" button). This will change your midi into a file that the setup editor can read and you can save it wherever you want.
10. Then, click "Replace Midi With GE Format", open your file you just saved.
Viola! You've just imported your music into the ROM! But don't test it yet, none of the levels have been assigned to your custom track, so it won't be anywhere in the game.
11. To assign a level to your track, click the "Stage Options" tab at the top of the window, and select the level you want your music to play in within the scroll down box above "Level/ID".
12. After that, click the scroll down box labeled "Main Theme" and select the track you selected at step 3.
13. Finally, Click "Write ROM With 21990 Mods" and select the ROM you would like to add your custom music to. _________________ YouTube Channel: http://Youtube.com/Peep5167

Actually you can go straight from midi. Just do "Replace Midi with .Mid" (and check Loop Midi Import if want to loop before replacing). Done write Rom. |

I'm really impressed with both of those tracks. They stick close enough to the original content to really mesh in while also being very fresh! Every time I think of bond I always think of trumpets which are very brusque and bold, and don't do sneaking or action levels justice. I'm keen to see what you roll out next! _________________ No Mr. Bond, I expect you to be re-coded! |
