To answer your question, if you're interested(and I'm happy to hear so!),please have a look at the "alfredo lamberra" topic in this section. No beta releases for me. You can find a trailer in the same topic. So, over time, some progress was made but right now I'm taking a break to focus more on life(girlfriends take time, you know!)but I'll be back on it in mid-july, I hope
And, that reminds me, I still have another job to finish, the translation of GE in dutch. That will take some time too!
Now, I have no idea though why you're calling yrself a rookie compared to me...I don't think you ever tried one of my finished levels...the kind of editing I'm doing is just "place object here, guard there, write a few action blocks, write new briefing" -et voila-I'm still using rare's levels as basis. No hammer, deled, clipping editing or whatever...
I'll cut off here cuz it's SERIOUSLY going off-topic
still any questions? I'll answer them asap and with pleasure if you post them in the alfredo lamberra-topic.

Lets keep this topic back to what it was meant to be about: beta aspects of GoldenEye, multiplayer creation timeframe, and developer information. Any post that follows this one that does not talk about this stuff, even if it is an apology or an acceptance of the transition back to normal, will be deleted. Thank you. _________________

Right so with that. Seems like the sky is the problem for some solo levels not being in MP. That I can remember, Only Temple and Complex have a sky.

Fog was mostly there to cull distant geometry. That wouldn't be a concern for the stages that made it in, with Temple, Cradle, Egyptian, and Statue being the only ones benefiting from it. That's contained even in the default sky, except the sky and fog are black.
If you look at the stages that made it into MP, most didn't have a real view to the outside. The ones that did would, again, be Temple, Cradle, Egyptian, and Statue. However, with clouds consuming quite a bit to produce, there's no point using them in a stage like Egypt where they're only visible via small windows. Statue barely runs as it is.
Complex uses two layers of skies amazingly.
Of stages with unique MP skies:
Complex 1 sky, no clouds
Complex 2 sky + clouds
Cradle sky + clouds
Temple sky + clouds
Caverns sky, no clouds
Citadel sky + clouds
To be fair, you don't save anything making the sky black (unless there's something really obscure like RSP computation time involved). Disabling clouds stops their generation, but the sky itself is still generated. _________________ (\_/) Beware
