It's about time for an update, isn't it?
I've been finishing up the text file for the stage today, which includes all of the briefings and interactions. Think I'm finally happy with my Background and M Briefing. Also taken some time to come up with other things to add in. Here are the objectives to date...
a) Disarm explosives
b) Retire May Day
c) Destroy drone guns
d) Find helicopter ignition key
e) Escape in helicopter
Probably going to put in a bunch more boxes to fill out the map, since it is rather open. Would be nice to include a couple of path walkers, too. I have ideas, just need to sort them out. So long as the enemy action routines don't lag up the level, I'm pretty confident it'll be quite good. _________________

Whoah! This is big. So big, I'm thinking a level editor is very likely to come out within the next five years since people have managed to hack and customise stuff... |

That's what haulted my progress originally.
There have been other reasons as to why I haven't gotten back to it, but those are personal matters that I don't want to share on a public forum. I've just been lacking the motivation to finish it. But, I still have plans to complete the Caves mission sometime. What I wouldn't give for a fully 3D GoldenEditor where you can plop in objects exactly where you want them, like in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. That'd make it an even simpler process. Not to mention how flippin' kickass it'd be. _________________

ahem... thats my idea... from a long time ago
hmm... we need someone with extreme skills to do it. i seem to recall a program in development for Super Mario 64 that does this.
drag and drop objects, move them to where they should be...
flippin' kickass it'd be. fo sho. _________________ zerojett lives on! |

Good luck with this mission Wreck, I'm looking forward to playing it when it's done. Maybe I'll buy a new GameShark, I said I wouldn't bother with them anymore but this deserves to be played on the real console |

Wow, this thing has been sitting for a long, long time. Just a few nights ago, I was actually thinking back to this mission while trying to fall asleep. Believe me when I say it, I really do want to finish the Mining Caves mission. And with some new ideas for an ending, I'm definitely going to get back on it. I've just been so busy these last two months at my brothers, that I haven't even had a chance to come online to check the boards. His Internet ready computer crashes constantly, so he doesn't really like anyone else going on it. Hell, even he gets freaked out when he's using it.
Anyways, hopefully in the next few days, I can start back on this long overdue mission project. _________________
