Hello! How do you set a specific character to a starting point?
I wanna avoid random player 1 character
Example: I need Mr.Blonde instead of female Cassandra`s guard in the Mr.Blonde revenge.
I spawn as a woman by default. I have trouble using 38850 modifications if it is needed. The editor asks me a .rom extension but the modifications aks me a .z64 and if I change during changing extension and level opened with 38850 the editor will crashes.

The only way to do this is by changing the models. Go to Cassandra etc and change the head and body to whatever you want |

39850 should let you pick which guard you want to play as for each solo mission. Not sure why, you should be able to rename to .rom or even type *.* and pick the .v64 rom. |

Ok I tried 39850 modifications without having troubke with exrensions but I still not able to tske mr. Blonde and his mauler. I selected model details, guard #0008 and weapon stats 0006 mauler and tried to save using write rom with 3050/39850 mods or write 39850. Do I have to set things in stage option like level?
I am very confused!!!! I understand the tabs but not how to use it.
Stage option: maian sos --> 23- M.R.Blonde revenge
Need to find and add my clipping file
It is all I can do

Be sure to load the rom with the changes you made before editing anything in the 38950 Menu (top of the window).
I know almost nothing about this menu, so I'm not of much help. |

I took a look and tried but nothing. I was only able to replace joanna by blonde in the carrington institute when the game is opened. I have changed the guard by M.r.Blonde and I had Joanna combat and I have done write 39850. I am not able to do anything!
Ok I saw entries in intro block but when I want to have a different entry it changes alone and take the same thing to the others like 01 02 03 are the same like character/cuff and I cannot make them work separatly.
I am still not able to add a character |

About this topic.
What is wrong when you try to change head of joanna to another girl head for solo mission ?
It gives this error message : (picture not related lol I have try a male combination, but error message is the same).
The problem happen everytime I try to switch to another basic enemy head. Mr Blonde's head work thought, for example.
Changing clothes works too it is just changing joanna's head that don't work.
I think it's strange since there's no problem at all using those combinations as a multiplayer character.
Anyway I could still replace joanna model I suppose, but I'm still curious. |

Unfortunately the compressed assembly code from that change wouldn't fit, so won't work. |

ok thanks for the precision.
Anyway, just copying pasting "Body/head File #" number in the "model detail" tab actually did what I wanted too. |

I run into some compression issues with GE-X once in a while, myself. Sometimes, if something like a head ID that is used many times and you attempt to change one of those, you wind up with a new file that doesn't compress as well. In certain situations you can figure out a quick way to get it to fit, but other times it's a major pain. Took quite a while to get new colours for the ammo bars and functions going. _________________

Damn. Sound painful.
The editor works like magic on so many things, I'm surprised when something would just not work |
