Can Goldfinger 64 be converted too? Does it just change the speed or does the setup editor get around lockout chips on real systems? |

I have played the PAL version of GF without fault on the Everdrive.
I previously looked for an option to "make rom PAL" but couldn't find it so refrained from posting about the "PAL Release" of GF.
Lockout chips are not a problem for flash carts and you cant re-write the mask rom.

To convert any ROM, open a 7 meg-ified ROM (including GF64) in Tools -> Game Configuration. On the Stage Options tab, there is an option that appears called Make ROM PAL with an address. For GF64 (other ROMs you can normally just leave default), you need to make that address 80719800, then click Make ROM PAL, and write ROM. It should be PAL-ified. |
