I have another question on spawning objects in multi-player mode.
Is it possible to spawn a fully-functioning tank? And even if you can, do you run into the same problem as with the drone guns, where the kill isn't credited to the person driving the tank, but rather the tank itself?
It'd be pretty cool if somebody could figure out how to fix the kill-credit problem associated with NPC objects. |

Not that I would be the one to know this, but I would think fixing kill-credit would be quite a challenge, just based on logic and the wya the game is. Think about it, Drone Guns, Tanks, and Explosions by almost anything could be labeled as "Hazards". The way Multi is set up, there never was any hazards to deal with. Gameshark hackers are most comfortable doing things that were aready done in some way, (similiar to the fact that its easier to replace things than place them). Unless some clever GS hacker can distinguish either the catagory of "hazards" or individual objects and switch them to a player identification, the idea wouldnt be even concievable. Then from there you have to determine the player identification not on a specific constant target, but on the person riding the tank that made the kill. Of course, GS hackers have made some pretty nuts codes, and im no GS hacker, so my opinion means nothing:
As far as just spawning the tank, thats possible, right? Use that with a size mod, mini-tank battle! Spawning a vehicle like that requires a different kind of positioning than just regular ojects using Stack setup, (I think I read that somewhere) but I believe its been done. |

It's actually rather simple to put a tank in any multiplayer arena.
I know, you're waiting for the "but", right?...
But, they don't work properly. The game can't distinguish which player is using the vehicle, so it thinks that every one of them is driving. The person who entered the tank will be inside, but the others will act as though they are also in one. That's even if it works. In some instances, the player won't even be able to get inside. You'll bounce around on top of it, or fall through. Either way, the tank just doesn't work in multi. |

Plus, the clipping offset scheme they use so you can walk on it doesn't work in multi. However, I did get around that just recently, so maybe the assignment issue can be dealt with as well.
Oh, incidentally, by redirecting a few pointers you can walk on pretty much anything. |
