Atari-Dude1, a few days ago I redownloaded your mod for my laptop (using the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EnDmK-RnYEOhcraGE3e0MzKuWsMOuQ3A/view?usp=drive_link), and was very pleased to find it had been updated. Can I ask a request, please? Would you mind adding either the mod version number, or the release date, to the mod's filename, so that we can see when the download has been updated, please?
Anyway, it's a fantastic mod (seventy maps in total now, - it's the sort of thing we used to dream of ) , for my favourite ever game, and my favourite ever multiplayer, and I appreciate it all the more as to me, most modern games just don't seem to grab me at all, so massive thanks to you and your team for all of the hard work. You've really added a lot to an already fantastic game.
By the way, is there a graphical/texture pack that can be made to work with the mod, please? Either third party re-textures, or a project to convert the XBox 360's graphics to your mod?
It's such a shame that Perfect Dark was never released on the PC. If Rare had released in for Windows, and also the modding tools, then we might have seen some amazing campaigns, weapons mods, etc. And maybe (probably not though) a map-maker like from the Timesplitters games. Maybe in a parallel universe... |

Hi Kerr, appreciate the kinds words! Regarding your request, I will change the file name to "All in One Mod (PD+, All Solos in Multi, GE-X Multi, etc) - Jan 1, 2026", and update the date every time I make a change!
This method won't indicate whether an update is major or minor-- but for major updates, which add new maps and other content-- I'll post about those here on Shooters, and on YouTube.
Jonaeru has a version number included on his end-- but for my version which you linked, I do keep that up to date at all times (updated very frequently, with the latest update time referenced in the README); but I'm very casual about it. I add, remove, fix, change things, all the time... Usually pretty minor things that aren't critical. Which is why I've refrained, thus far, from trying to think of the logistics of coming up with sorta arbitrary numbers, hehe.
Jonaeru (the main mod author) actually has multiple numbers listed-- the overall GitHub build, listed as v0.5.0 (https://github.com/jonaeru/perfect_dark/releases/tag/allinone-latest). Then the way he does it, he links the files separately from the build-- and those are listed as v7, currently. (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1eo_SBUDaGa4LNByWj8fbiWrr8ny471Hf)
For players, trying to determine which build could be confusing if they don't use the same source each time. Though for the latest updates, I do recommend my version that you linked.
If I were to start using numbered updates, I'm not sure if I should number mine based on the GitHub build-- which could be something like v0.5.9 now, but I'm not sure what Jonaeru will want to number the next major update.
If I go by v7, it could be like v7.9? Or should I go by my own numbers altogether?
These are the thoughts and questions I've had, which have led to me mostly ignoring update numbers so far on my end, lol.
Edit: Oh and as for texture packs-- we have a small team effort working to adapting the HD pack from Xii-Nyth to the PC port. English fonts and levels textures are done, but many object textures are left to do. Not sure when that'll end up being released and merged with AIO. An outdated preview from 4 months ago can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3tvEBgbkws |

That's great, thanks.

I think most fans would just download a new version regardless of high big or small the changes. Personally, I rarely read the changes text file of a mod or a game when I download a newer version.

Some mods and games nowadays have a version number almost large enough to count the atoms in the universe, such as 'v001.653.76D' or '880134215rc4'. At least it's not as bad as when Microsoft want to name a new generation of their console, and they just choose an arbitrary name - XBox, Xbox 360, XBox One, XBox Series X, XBox Series S, they definitely won't confuse the buyers

I see, yes. Probably best not to make it too complicated, at least if you're making a mod for idiots like me.

I've just noticed that the mod download has been updated (on the first of February, nearly a fortnight ago and I didn't realise ), I'll be trying out the new version when I get home
Thanks, Atari-Dude. |

Heh, yeah, but nothing major yet though. Last major update was in July 2025, and then smaller updates since then (sometimes not even anything the user will notice, until the next update).
We're hoping the next update is ready for May, around the time of the next PD anniversary. Expected to feature a couple maps (at least 2, potentially up to 5 depending on if we hear back from certain folks), and all the GoldenEye X characters and a couple other bonus characters. |

| Atari-Dude1, why are the unlockables in PD All in One mod (weapons, sim slots, etc) no longer automatically unlocked? Is that a bug with this version? |

Shouldn't be any different compared to previous releases in that respect? To unlock everything, you could always go to Cheats and press Unlock Everything. If you've already done this, or unlocked everything the classic way, and now it's re-locked content... that's definitely odd. I haven't experienced anything like that.
AIO should behave just like the standard PC port in terms of that. By default, not everything is unlocked-- but it's easy in case anyone does want to get everything. |

Doh! I had to format the C: Windows partition of my laptop, and I reinstalled PD PC + All in One Mod but I'd lost my PD game saves, so I noticed the now locked stuff in the new installation. Presumably I'd unlocked it all before, through the game as normal and had now lost it all.
Thanks for the answer, mate, and sorry for the confusion. |

No worries! Hopefully you didn't lose any valuable saves |
