A French Asylum built in the 70's and destroyed in 2003. We used to visit it and play Airsoft in it (and also have some BBQs). It was huge, and very creepy at night. Photos here : http://glauqueland.free.fr/mosaique/mosaique.htm

I'm really liking the looks of it, so far.
It definitely has that dreary lack of colour that an asylum would have.

Everything is going fine for the moment, but as soon as I will have finished it, there will be a lot of work to do (respawns, weapons, ammo, sky, "portals" etc). I only know how to build the map, not the rest.

As I'm building this map, I'm starting to realise it will be too big for two players. If someday there is a way for 4 players (or 8, 16...) to play this map (without seeing the other players'screens) this will be really awesome.

It seems more of a sweet solo level to me. Maybe do a Stacks/Library/Basement thing in multi (ie complete, half, or other half)?

Absolutely ! The map should be finished around the end of august. I will need the help of anyone who's interested to do the rest. I fear the level might be slow but since I know nothing about this issue, can someone tell me if it's "normal" if the level (as of today) weights around 1.4 Mo (in Hammer) ?

I'd love to see this map with a dark, eerie setting. Have some overhead lights lighting certain rooms, with a few halls very dim. Put in those weathered doors from Surface, the greenish ones with and without the glass window. Stick in some tables and test tubes, some computers, boxes, monitors, etc. Just to make it look and feel like a rundown asylum, where a crazed patient could jump out from around a corner at any time. It could be great. Smile

Yes, I could see the light work making this map.
