It's just an extra thing, to give the mission a different feel....

So, anyway, I'm undecided again. I can't decide on what I want to put in this room (the room with the elevator, past the double cell doors. You fight Trevelyan here):

What do you guys think should go in here?

I'm not quite sure what could go in that room - though I think that adding doors to those frames would be a nice touch!

What does Trev do? Just run around the room shooting at you? Or does he run around the entire building?

I remember when I was working on Surface 3 and couldn't figure what to put in one of the buildings, and everyone said a Tank. But I don't think a tank in a missile silo crammed pack with nuclear bombs would be a great idea

What was in there before you entered that area? I see black spots on the ground.

You could make some minor adjustments, like put a hostage in there, add that to the objectives and Trev is threatening to kill the hostage. Instead he shoots at you, lets the hostage go and starts running saying "Catch me if you can" or something like that...

Trev just shoots you and throws grenades while you're fighting him, and you're locked inside the room.

Oh, that answers your question: the black spots were from Trev's grenades. There was nothing in the room before.

Interesting idea with the hostage though....

Sorry for the double post, but...an update on this.

I put in a hostage scientist and a computer console in that room. It's not an objective, it's something extra. What happens is Trev catches the scientist on YouTube and threatens him. The scientist runs off and Trev uses the computer to lock you in, then you fight him.

I still feel like that room needs more, and I can't think of other objects to put in there. Crates? Gas barrels? More computers? Ammo boxes? Glass?.... Confused

Ha, I had the exact same problem with my mission, I tried about ten different things in there before settling on the table, crates, timed mines, and cap.

That little space could either be a work station, or a stock room.

As a work station, you'd have metal tables with glassware and monitors setup on top. Maybe even put a scientist or two in there, and have them come running out when you go to follow Trevelyan inside - so as they don't get locked in or killed during the climactic battle. That'd add an interesting cinematic feel to the final stretch. Besides, I love the sound of glass shattering in GE. Razz

As a stock room, there'd be crates and other explodable goodies to add fuel to the fire. Whenever a grenade would go off, even more damage would be dealt. Maybe even put the odd crate outside of that room in corners, so that Trev doesn't get stuck on them while making his rounds.

I like the sound of this! This has to be one of the most original ideas I've heard for a Solo mission! Very Happy

If Trevelyan locks you in the room, would you have room to move around?

I'll try a combo of those, placing fuel barrels in the corners, computers in the center, a couple crates, and glass. It's something of a computer station in the original Silo anyway. I'll need to be careful not to overload on objects, though.

Definitely. I'll place objects in the corners to not interfere too much with space. Oh, and the door currently unlocks after killing Trev, so you can continue with your objectives.

Another update! You guys can see what that room looks like now. I'm considering putting an ammo box in the small space to the left of Trev. I'm not sure where to put glass, though.

A minor change in the adjacent room....

All I've changed here were the glass cases. Note the briefcase on top of one, and the BA inside the other. I need to fix that so the briefcase is inside the glass, not on top. I should be able to do that without help.

Another change is the timer now starts as you leave the cell room. I've also made the trek to the computer easier, so I can cut the timer by 30 seconds. Reason being is when I get there now, I have 3:30 left on the clock.

And then there's the Intro Swirl. It starts outside the cell, then swirls around Bond. The problem with it is it fades Bond out at quite an angle to his back. I'll have to fix it eventually, but not now.

That looks good. Intro swirls are a bit of a pain, I usually copy Rare's from Caverns since it's a perfect circle, then edit it as needed.

I think that's one of the test tube models from Facility. It looks really cool as a tube to store things in.

Trev looks cool doing that.
