There's a neat little debug feature that nobody knew how to use. "Gun watch pos" allows you to fiddle with the preview models in the solo watch menu. It just sets a little toggle.

Here's a fun GS code for everyone to try:
Code:
80036FBF 0001

This lets you move the item previews in the solo watch menu without going through debug. You can pan and zoom the models on the main and inventory screens. On the inventory screen, this only affects the selected item.
Note that this will edit these positions until the game is reset, as it is actually editting the watch item index. The only features you can't set are the x/z rotation factors.
    Controls:
  • Pan: c buttons
  • Zoom: shoulder buttons

You can also set this up in the 21990 file. Set 0x1622F to 01. Otherwise, use the debug menu code and select the "gun watch pos" feature.

Dude, that is so cool! Very Happy
And this stores the position data in the weapon block? That means you could use this feature to position custom or ported weapons, when the time comes? That'd be extremely helpful in getting things just where you want them to be.

Someone has been busy. All around great stuff, and even though I can't exactly understand the technicalities behind, I think I understand the possibilities that comes with it.

I might create a small patch to allow you to z-rotate (pivot gun up/down). The position data allows for more features than are used. you can read all that in the documentation though.

I thought I had noticed something, but can't check at the moment to verify, but does that code also make it so the game remembers the last page you were viewing in your watch? Normally, doesn't it always open up to the first page? I could have sworn that this code made it so it'd bring up whatever page was last accessed. Maybe someone else can check it out and make sure I'm not taking crazy pills. Razz

Yeah, the watch normally opens to the first page (heath and armor, mission status, abort option, gun currently held + ammo).

but no this cheat doesnt save off the watch tab. That wouldve been a nice feature in the game though. And yes this has to be a debug option to help get the right coords. hmm custom weapons....

That doesn't, but if you're using the super-secret patch or the standalone smart watch patch, it does ;*)

Also, I don't have a PAL code ready, but you can select 'gun watch pos' from the debug menu. It triggers the exact same effect.

I don't think the debug menu exists in the PAL version - or does it?

Hmmm, I'm not totally certain, but I thought that the debug (or MCM) wasn't in the PAL version. There may be parts of it leftover, but the Master Control Menu isn't fully functional. Or is it?
